Two businesses, one clock

The Clinical division provides specialized medical staff and services at transplant centers and major hospitals. Organ recovery requires surgeons trained in procurement, teams that know how to preserve organs while they are in transit, and post-transplant support. Strata employs perfusionists — specialists who manage the machines and fluids that keep organs alive outside the body — and surgeons, nurses, and technicians trained in organ recovery, normothermic regional perfusion (a newer preservation technique), and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). How Strata makes money
