Pacer S&P 500 3AI Top 100 ETF (PSAI)

Artificial intelligence has become the most dominant investment narrative of the moment, and PSAI is built on a simple bet: the largest companies with the heaviest AI exposure will outperform.

PSAI holds the top 100 stocks from the S&P 500 that score highest on AI relevance. Instead of weighting by market cap (as the S&P 500 does), the fund weights by AI exposure — so a company generating more revenue from AI or investing more heavily in AI infrastructure gets a larger slice of the portfolio. The index underlying PSAI is rebalanced regularly, and the holdings are entirely within the S&P 500, so you are not taking concentration risk on smaller or more speculative AI plays. Instead, you are taking a concentrated bet on the largest companies most visible to the AI trend.

The appeal is straightforward: if artificial intelligence is the defining technological shift of the coming decade, then owning the big companies most exposed to it might be better than owning a market-cap-weighted index that still holds legacy industrials and utilities at their historical weights. PSAI tilts the portfolio toward the cutting edge.

The risk is equally clear. A thematic fund like PSAI is by definition concentrated. You own a lot of technology, a lot of mega-cap companies that may already be richly priced, and a lot of conviction that AI exposure will compound returns faster than vanilla market-cap weighting. If that narrative changes — if AI capital spending disappoints, if regulation chills development, if performance resets — then a concentrated bet bets your portfolio accordingly. During strong tech rallies, PSAI tends to lead; during tech downturns, it tends to fall harder.

The fund is appropriate for investors who want explicit, direct exposure to the AI story without picking individual stocks, and who understand that thematic funds are inherently cyclical bets. It is not appropriate for anyone uncomfortable with concentration risk or for those who believe the AI narrative is overpriced. The fund trades with good liquidity on exchanges, so transaction costs are modest.

PSAI’s index methodology is transparent — you can look up exactly how the AI-exposure scoring works and see the current holdings. Before investing, understand that you are not buying “the S&P 500”; you are buying a concentrated slice of the S&P 500 tilted toward one narrative. That is the trade-off.
