Grayscale Solana Staking ETF is an exchange-traded fund that holds Solana tokens and stakes them on the Solana network to earn validation rewards, creating a vehicle where investors gain both price upside from the underlying cryptocurrency and ongoing yield from the act of securing the network itself.

Solana and the staking opportunity

Solana is a blockchain network designed for speed and low cost, built on a different architecture than Ethereum. Rather than relying solely on proof-of-work mining (which requires computational brute-force), Solana uses proof-of-stake, a system in which token holders stake their coins to secure the network and validate transactions.
